If you want garden storage that not only functions as it should and serves your storage needs well but also looks good in your garden, a wooden garden shed would be an ideal choice. A garden shed that is constructed of wood can either be painted to match your home or if suitable to the style of your home it can be left to weather to a silvery grey.
There are several reasons for choosing a wooden shed over some of the other available choices. First of all, this is a garden building we are talking about, so it just makes sense to construct if from natural materials. While a metal or vinyl clad garden shed will serve it’s purpose for storage, neither will blend into the garden the way a wood clad shed will. The wood will also serve as a very natural looking and great backdrop for a flower garden.
A vinyl or metal garden shed will not be as sturdy as a shed built of wood. Many of these types of sheds are easily damaged by wind and can become unsightly after weathering a hail storm. Now that is not to say that a wood garden shed cannot be damaged by severe weather conditions, only that a wooden structure can withstand the elements better than some sheds built with other construction materials.
While I prefer wood left to weather, many people like the look of a painted shed. A color that looks nice in the garden and coordinates with your home is easy with a wood clad shed. If you change your mind and want to try a different color, it will only require a little paint and the time and effort to paint the shed. It is not so easy to change the color of a vinyl or metal clad shed.
As you can see there are several reasons why a garden shed made of wood is a good choice. If you want a shed that looks good in your garden, one that can withstand the elements and one that you can easily change the color of, you cannot go wrong with a wooden garden shed.
