Using A Floor Safe For Added Security
For many individuals, simply having their valuable possessions in a safe is sufficient to provide the peace of mind and comfort they are looking for. Unless they are a high profile individual or live in a very prone neighborhood to intrusion, a traditional safe is generally sufficient for most people’s needs. For those that are looking for a little bit more anonymity, floor safes may be an excellent option.
A floor safe is a type of safe that adds another degree of protection that typical standalone safes don’t have. The first part of this added security comes in the fact that these safes are often installed into the ground or concrete. As such, they are surrounded on all but one side by solid material. This allows only one entry surface for attempted penetration.
A floor safe is typically only vulnerable from one direction. If this is sufficiently reinforced and the proper failsafe mechanisms are installed, then this type of safe can be quite secure.
As an additional security measure, a floor safe allows you to hide the safe from prying or curious minds. The floor safe can easily be covered by floor coverings such as carpets, rugs, panels, or other objects. To add another layer of protection, additional furniture may be placed on top of the floor covering. This allows you to make the safe virtually disappear.
Many people will use a traditional wall safe to safeguard their belongings. This can work great in many situations, but is not as secure as a floor safe. Most intruders will look for signs of an in wall safe. They are often hidden behind books and paintings in the wall. It takes a lot more effort and a much more skilled intruder to detect the presence of a floor safe. A properly installed floor safe will provide your home with the additional security you are looking for.

This is so true that having a safe somewhere is an absolute necessity. In some areas an added precaution is really worth the trouble. As the economy gets worse usually crime goes up. If however you have a lot of things to store away you need to find some other solutions to your safe storing problem. In the end a home safe is a lot cheaper than renting one from the bank.
