The toaster is a kitchen appliance used to toast small food items, particularly bread. It comes in all shapes, colors and sizes. There’s the blue toaster oven, the Brand A toaster, the Brand B toaster, etc. The toaster oven, which is a combination of a bread toaster and an electric oven, works like the regular toaster, except that it can bake more food items, which the typical toaster cannot do. In three minutes or less, the toasting cycle usually becomes done already.
The three main types of blue toasters are popup toasters, conveyor toasters, and toaster ovens. Almost everyone is familiar with the popup toaster because it has been popularized very much already. It’s the one with bread slots on top where slices of bread are to be inserted. On the side of the popup toaster is a lever which, when pulled upwards, turns the toaster on and brings the slices of bread inside for toasting. When the toasting cycle is done, the lever reverts back to its original position, the toaster turns off, and the slices of bread are automatically pushed upwards.
That’s the most basic of toasters, though. Other types and brands use buttons as controls instead of the traditional switches, levers and keys. But in general, toasters have doors which the user has to manually open to place the food in. The interiors also usually have trays to hold the bread, and then there are also heating mechanisms found inside. The conveyor toaster on the other hand is a large scale toasting appliance, capable of toasting hundreds of slices of bread in just an hour’s time. Moreover, this commercial toaster can also keep bread warm without burning them. Restaurants and catering services usually use this toaster.
The blue toaster oven is an advanced version of the regular toaster, which means that it has more functions and it is also more expensive. They can be used to broil and bake foods, as well as cook foodstuff that are often cooked by frying such as fish and hotdogs. Toaster ovens also have temperature controllers and timers which allows for customized and controlled cooking. The toaster oven’s usefulness makes it a very important kitchen appliance.
