In the 1300’s, satin was invented in Zaytoun, China, newly named as Canton. The satin style was then embraced by European countries including Italy and England 200 years later. Satin has become known for its construction that consists of natural fibers found in plants. This has caused satin fabrics to become some of the most sought-after and splendid goods created in textile history. Nowadays, because of its popularity, satin can be found in clothes and lingerie, drapery fabrics and other materials used in vehicles such as upholstery fabrics.
