Having a portable closet around is one of those items you get so used to having around, you wonder how you ever lived without it before. Having an extra place to store clothes, towels, and other similar items is a perk that nearly every household can benefit from. But what other uses do portable closets have in the home?
A common use of these portable closets on wheels is to assist in doing the laundry. It’s just simply easier to move all the dirty clothes from your portable closet into the laundry area, wash and dry the clothes, and then fold and hang them literally right back onto the closet, than it is do it the old way, which usually meant scattering about trying to get the clothes done before they all wrinkled up, dropping half of them in the hallway between your dryer and bedroom closet.
Another good use of portable closets is to use them as a simple stand alone closet for the guests. Think about it: if someone came to stay with you now, do you have any closet space for their wardrobe and clothing? More than likely, your closet in the guest room is filled with your own items, with little room to spare for the guests. If you buy a portable closet and have it around to use as needed than this is a problem you’ll never have to deal with.
Finally, another good use the portable closet is for archiving clothes that are either out of season or just items you want to move from the closet but don’t want to get rid of. High end portable closets often have a sealing function that allows you to store your clothes safely for the long term. This means you can take clothes from your closet, get some of that space back, and then store them in the portable unit in their attic or garage, out of sight and out of the way.
