A folding mattress especially a big one can be very heavy and floppy. If you wish to fold it back because you want to transfer it, make sure you have a partner to help you because moving large folding beds through narrow stairs and doorways can be hard.  You can’t just push and pull it back because it might affect the material. Below are two simple guidelines on how are you going to fold your folding bed correctly.

Step # 1 – You need strong ropes to start. Put the ropes at about six feet away from one another on the floor. Ask your partner to assist you lift the folding mattress to set it properly on the ropes. Be sure that you put each rope at both sides to ensure balance once you lift the bed. Ropes must be clean so that it can’t stain you folding bed.

Step # 2 – Once the rope are set, you and your partner should start doing folding. Start lifting the other side and fold it in half. Your assistant must be in the opposite direction from you so he can hold the other end as you try to fold the mattress. Do the square knot for the meantime so that you can easily fold the whole folding bed.

Once you’re done folding, you can already transfer it whenever you want. After moving it, you can already untie the knot and unfold it. Be sure to slowly do everything and with utmost care.
