A Simple Guide to Bathroom Cleaning

Cleaning the bathroom is often an overlooked household task. But since it is one of the frequented rooms at home, it is really necessary to keep it clean. Allotting 15 minutes every day should be enough to clean a bathroom.

Whether cleaning the basement bathroom toilet or the main bathroom toilet, it pays to have the right supplies. Prepare useful cleaning tools, like broom, mop, toilet cleaner, toilet brush, glass cleaner, and disinfectant wipes.

Before starting with the actual cleaning, make sure to put all dirty clothes in the laundry basket. Then, remove unnecessary clutter in the bathroom such as empty shampoo bottles.

Cleaning the bathroom toilet begins by wiping down the tub and sink with a disinfectant. Make sure that these fixtures are properly cleaned so they will look presentable. More time should be allotted in cleaning the sink than the tub. Always use disposable gloves when doing this task.

Using a brush and toilet cleaner, gently scrub the internal part of the toilet. The external part of the toilet, on the other hand, should be cleaned with a disinfectant wipe. As for cleaning the mirror, make sure to get a hold of a glass cleaner or a vinegar solution. Like baking soda and lemon, vinegar has natural disinfecting properties making them cheaper yet effective cleaning alternatives.

Meanwhile, use the broom to briefly sweep the dirt on the bathroom floor, and try to focus on the high traffic areas. Also, sweep through the area underneath the sink. Finish the job by spraying air freshener on the bathroom to give the bathroom a more enticing odor. As much as possible, clean your bathroom regularly to prevent the accumulation of dirt and grimes, especially in your basement bathroom toilet.

Make sure to take time to tend to your bathroom cleaning duties to ensure maintain a fresh looking and appealing bathroom space.
