3 Different Ways to Garden Indoors
Many people look to indoor gardening to produce their own vegetables or simply to grow their own flowers. There are a few different ways you can go about doing this. First you can go the traditional route with pots and soil, or you can give hydroponics a try, or you can try a aero-hydro combination by using an aero garden.
There is a certain calming and therapeutic about really getting your hands dirty with a traditional garden when planting vegetables or plants. The feeling and smell of the soil, digging the holes the perfect depth, and placing that seed in its new home until it grows into a full-fledged plant. This is something you just won’t get with the other forms of gardening. Despite the fact that you may get better quality growth using other methods, a lot of people simply want that feeling of planting and cultivating in potted soil.
Many people turn to hydroponic gardening if they’re looking for strict control over the production of their plants. Hydroponics have shown to produce a higher and more consistent yield. This type of garden is great if you’re looking to produce as many possible plants. It removes that feeling of planting and caring for a garden, but you will often get more, and fuller plants using hydroponic gardening techniques. Oftentimes hydroponic gardens can be difficult to set up yourself, but you can find kits that will reduce that difficulty.

Finally, you can try a system that uses a modified version of hydroponics. The system is the AeroGarden, and their method is called aeroponics. The roots of each plant are actually suspended above the water level in a chamber that is hyper-oxygenated to improve growth. The combination of oxygen and nutrient-rich water is supposed to improve plant growth, not only in quality, but in speed and quantity. This sort of garden is a great way to get into hydroponic-style gardening because the kit comes complete, requires little set-up, and is very low maintenance.
